First-Aid Fire Fighting
Computer Domain ltd MCAST Foundation Students participate in First-Aid Fire Fighting Practical Session
Foundation students from Computer Domain Ltd participated in a series of First-Aid Fire Fighting Sessions on Wednesday 6th April 2011. These sessions which composed of both practical and theoretical content, were organised for the students as part of their Personal Development Module fulfillment at the MCAST Art & Design Institute in Mosta.
Students were taught the use of different fire-extinguishing equipment including fire-blankets and foam-based extinguishers. Each student was given the opportunity to handle the equipment. This practical session was conducted by a Malta Civil Protection Fire-Fighter and Trainer.
A theoretical session about fire-fighting techniques and proper conduct procedures was previously delivered during the students' lecture, in relation to different fire emergency scenarios. This event was coordinated by Computer Domain Ltd's Personal Development Lecturer, Mr. Andre' Damato in collaboration with the Administration Department at Computer Domain Ltd and MCAST. Computer Domain Ltd's Head of School Mr. Brian Abela and lecturer Krystle Attard also attended the seminar.
